Updates to the schedule and change orders along with changes in cost were clearly communicated.
In the end we were delivered a beautiful functional wash bay on budget, that we are proud of and it continues to be the center piece of our operation in Crawfordsville. Bob's follow up and corrective action to our minor problems was quick and very satisfactory, he owned any problems and made them right!

I am so appreciative of finding and choosing your company to do major expansion work for my manufacturing facility located in Beecher, IL.

My expansion was a hybrid in that it included Tenant Improvements which required several modifications to the facility in order to adapt to their manufacturing process which entailed day to day “detailed” leg work in order to successfully complete. This along with, architectural design, civil engineering and a pre-engineered building added to facility was a major project to take on to say the least; hereinafter referred to as the “Project”

This Project was a 3-year endeavor (stop/start during Covid) of which finally came to fruition throughout 2023, and if it had not been for Hillside Development Group, LLC having the patience and foresight in pulling Project together, I am convinced Project would have not moved forward. You and your team provided “over and above” the requirements needed; to include: bidding, contracts, invoicing, waiver processing, etc., working with my Tenant on my behalf and most importantly Project finished within budget and on time!

The purpose of my letter is to describe my experience of hiring FBI Buildings and Bob Tincher of the Hillside Development Group to construct a turnkey project for a new business. The construction consisted of a pole barn 60’ x 200’. The building was to be half insulated and heated and included a 32’x32’ office area. My goal is this project was to obtain an exceptional building at a reasonable cost, constructed in a timely manner and with the least amount of day to day involvement by myself.

After meeting with Bob and explaining the above goals, he proceeded to put together and execute an aggressive construction schedule to meet my timeframe. He constantly looked for cost savings to pass on to me, such as the overhead door savings and the subcontractor credits. I felt he was looking out for my best interest throughout the entire project. With his extensive knowledge of all building trades, he was able to plan, coordinate and manage all subcontractors effectively.

The team of subcontractors Hillside Development put together was experienced, knowledgeable and skilled in their trades. Bob worked with a sense of urgency and required the same from the subcontractors. He communicated well with me in regard to the schedule and details of the project, and he remained closely involved with all aspects of the project from start to finish.

I appreciate the quality of work and Bob’s attention to detail. It is evident that he takes great pride in the work he does. I am extremely happy that Dave Nelson of FBI Buildings recommended Bob and Hillside Development Group to assist me in this project.  The team of FBI Building and Hillside Development Group has delivered a high quality building with excellent workmanship throughout. I wish that I had hired Bob and Hillside Development Group for my previous building projects. He was a pleasure to work with and met every one of my goals.

Bob’s company was our general contractor on a 5,000 square foot warehouse/office building in Champaign in 2006. He was a delight to work with: He commissioned the building plans, gave us excellent advice, got the permits, and completed the project with a wonderful building. He and his subcontractors were competent, friendly, and easy to work with and did a great job. We learned that we could leave town and that Bob would just take care of things, and I learned to trust his independence and ability to make sound decisions on things that I didn’t need to be burdened with. He knows his craft well, and my partner and I look forward to working with him on a new similar building in the near future.
